Church Body

In this section, brief informative descriptions are presented of the major ecclesial traditions and groupings of churches which exist within Christianity. Most of these, but not all, are part of the Conference of Secretaries of Christian World Communions. Where applicable, information is added on the global organization of the grouping of churches concerned, as well as the list of member churches of the organization. The descriptions are in alphabetical order. In the words of the Toronto Statement of the Church: "this presentation is not based on any one particular conception. It does not prejudge the ecclesiological problem."
